Using MojoPac is exactly as if your MojoPac iPod or USB storage device is an ultra portable Windows XP PC.
System Requirements
MojoPac Device Requirements
This section lists the requirements for the portable storage device used to install MojoPac. For more in-depth discussion and device recommendation, please visit the Devices for Mojo page.
iPod Requirements:
- Any of iPod, Video iPod, iPod Nano and iPod mini. Latest Firmware recommended.
- iPod Shuffle owners: time to upgrade!
USB Hard Drive Requirements:
High performance and top-tier USB external hard drives: Seagate, Western Digital, and Hitachi.
USB Flash Requirements:
Top-tier USB Flash drives: Memorex, Sandisk, OCZ, Lexar.
Connection:
USB 2.0 is required. USB 1.1 is too slow to provide an optimum Mojo experience for running applications, and therefore it is not supported.
Storage:
MojoPac can be installed on any USB 2.0 compliant storage device.
Minimum storage required is 128 MB. You need more storage depending on the application and data you are installing (ex: MS Office 2003 needs ~600MB, iTunes+QuickTime needs ~110MB). We recommend a 2GB or larger device.
Host PC Requirements
Host PC is any Windows PC that you would like to connect your MojoPac device to in order to bring up your MojoPac PC.
OS Requirements:
- Windows XP* (32-bit version ONLY)
- Home/Pro (sp1, sp2)
- Media Center Edition (2003, 2005)
- Tablet PC**
Note: Windows XP computers that have been upgraded from Windows 2000 Operating System are not supported in this version of MojoPac.
Note: Support for MojoPac on Windows Vista will be available as a free upgrade option to all MojoPac customers upon the release of the Vista version of MojoPac.
RAM:
256MB Minimum, 512MB recommended
Access Privileges:
MojoPac requires the host PC be logged in with administrative privileges or have MojoPac Usher installed. MojoPac Usher is an application that can be installed on host computers to enable MojoPac to run with a limited mode host login.
