OK I've read the comments (going back some long time). So do you Mojo guys have a plan to deal with this - or are you simply looking at this as a condition you cannot resolve ? I have three computers, all have separate, legal copies of MS office installed (2 x 2003 and 1 x XP unfortunately but that I could change if necessary). So all hosts are legally able to use Office - but I want my Office environment to be constant - all settings, my PST files to travel with me, etc, etc. Mojopac seemed like the perfect answer ... until the Activation demon hit me!
So, cannot you not abrstract the activation information from the host machine in some way ?? This would not resolve people trying to use the device on unknown hosts, but it seems many are trying to do what I am - simply run the app. on a handful of known computer ...
Without this, I cannot see Mojopac working for me - as Open Office still gives me problems. And having to move that environment on all three of my machines will be a real PITA.

Interesting the EULA says:
1.1 Installation and use. You may:
(a) install and use a copy of the Software on one personal computer or other
device; and
(b) install an additional copy of the Software on a second, portable device for the exclusive use of the primary user of the first copy of the Software.
That, to me, would say that use on a Mojopac device is legitimate use - albeit, it falls foul of the activation code ...

IE7 won't install either. Nor will PhotoShop (not that I really expected it to). Seems things with product activation fail to install.

I too have the same problem with a legitimate copy of office installed on my mojo device. As long as it is used in combination with the original host machine everthing seems to work fine... Upon connecting my mojo device to to a diff host the activation dialog gets me.
I really hope this is resolved.

Not so much a reply as a call for action! I too have this Office activation problem - which has now been reported for over a year without a solution being offered. If Mojo isn't 'a portable system' then what use is it? Office is a very commonly used application this must be a common problem.

This is a known issue with some of the licensing applications which check for the host PC devices and run into activation issues, once it is connected to different PC. Our developer's are working deligently to address this issue. You all will be notified once it is fixed.

I have no problems with any of the above programs except with stuff that enforces WGA*
The great guys & gals at RingCube can't legaly tell you this but if you search my other posts you can find how I use TrueCrypt 4.3a and patches to use most of my legal and paid-for software.
So, I use Word 2003 rather than the new version and... (to name a few) PhotoShop CS3, Acrobat Pro 8.1 and CorelDRAW X4 are all up and running with no problems except they like lots of RAM on the host.
And BTW, I only use drives that show up as "Fixed" because a lot of software will automatically fail on removable drives and I don't have a good fix for this. To the best of my knowledge there is only one USB drive on the market today that can be configured as Fixed.
I agree that in some cases it may not be in strict accordance with some dranconian EULA's but I get paid to get work done, not to screw around with some lawyers idea of how and when I should use their software.
And when I unplug the drive...
Everything is still nicely wrapped inside a 128bit AES encrypted and very portable volume that even enCase** can not penetrate :p
Hope this helps someone.

* Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) is an anti-piracy system created by Microsoft that enforces Microsoft Windows online validation of the authenticity of several recent Microsoft operating systems when accessing several Microsoft Windows services, such as Windows Update, and downloading from the Microsoft Download Center. Specifically, WGA covers Windows XP and Windows Vista. It does not cover Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003 or the Windows 9x family. Certain downloads and non-critical updates from the Download Center for Windows 2000 also require validation.
It also advertises Service Pack 2 for Windows XP, which requires manual intervention to disable. Previously voluntary, it became mandatory for use of these services in July 2005.

The most easy way to use software is to make a thininstall version and put a copy on the mojopac disc.
It works fine whit all the MS stuff.

Your're right!
But sometimes it takes some time, skill and luck to actually make a good working Thinstall edition and... I'm not very good at it.
So, I find my Thinstall working editions at puzo dot org or shareme dot org where I can also look at their history and reviews. My last visit there showed them to have hundreds (if not thousands) available including Office2007.
If you visit these sites* then search for Thinstall, portable or the actual program name you are looking for.
Thinstall's are usually engineered to be run from a removable drive including pen drives vs. fixed diskes and I think they work on SD's ?
Be aware that they may leave some traces on your C:\ drive document settings or registry. To avoid any EULA problems... I only run them from my encrypted MoJo drives. ):
Hope this helps
