View Full Version : IE 7 Cannot open a link in a new tab

I noticed a bug in MojoPac 1.0.2.5. When browsing the internet in MojoPac on a Windows XP host running IE7, you can use the tabbed browsing feature just fine. However, if you right click on a link you do not see the "Open In New Tab" option. So if you want to keep everything in one IE7 session, you have to copy the link, open a new tab, and then paste the link into the new tab's address bar.

Otherwise, MojoPac is an awesome product. Great work guys!

Any update on this issue in the last six months?

(I can still replicate it using 1.0.6.0)

Thanks.

Fixed in what? A new version? Due out when? Again, it still occurs to me in 1.0.6.0...

Still occurs for me in the latest patch also. Tried re-installing IE7 - no joy.

I now find that some of the hotkeys don't work, the tab options in some menus don't work, but some things do work.

Don't work for me: File|New Tab / File|Close Tab, Ctrl+W
Work for me: Alt+Tab / Alt+Shift+Tab, Ctrl+N (weird), right-click on the tab then New / Close / "Close other tabs" / "x"

Also, your Tabs settings matter. Mine:
Both "Enable" entries and "Warn me when closing multiple" are checked, others unchecked
"Always open popups in a new tab" and "A new window" are my radio selections.

erm... you can just install IE7 onto your mojopac, like what i did. No problems!

I'll have to try that once I regain my Mojo. Right now, it's gone - RS1, then 2:5:116, now awaiting a Support response. I really wish RingThree would offer a premium telephone support option - I hate waiting for E-Mail responses with my Mojo just hanging all out and all over the place*...

* For those who might be nauseated by the physical image of that thought...
1. I'm good looking, so it's not as horrid as you think
2. I was actually referring to my multiple copies of my MMC card, reg dumps, reg logs, sector dumps, and other diagnostic attempts, splattered all over hard drives on multiple file systems. So, please take your mind out of the gory gutter!
3. I'm trying REAL hard to maintain a sense of humor in this, but my Mojo has been down over a week. I'd never accept this in a full OS, but for $50 list I guess we have to live with less-than-stellar response times. C'mon, ThreeRing, respond faster!!!!!

To isolate the cause of the issue, please connect the drive to another PC and check the functionality. If the issue persists then reinstall Mojopac by following the below steps :

* Download the update Mojopac installer from the below webpage:

http://www.mojopac.com/portal/content/download.jsp

* Run the installer.

Reinstalling Mojopac by following the above steps will not corrupt or impact the applications already installed.

I installed (upgrade) a few minutes ago and the "Open in New Tab" feature still does not work.

I tested it on the laptop via which it was installed and also on a 2nd PC, a desktop. Both are running XP pro.

Thank you for the sugestion. Any other ideas?

Hi Mojo,

I'm having the same issue with tabbed browsing; however, it seems like I didn't experience the issue until after I installed .NET 2.0 and SP1. After that - no tabs. I know for sure tabs were working right after a clean install of Mojopac. May or may not be related.
