:) www.chessclub.com is an international online chess club that you pay a fee each year. Their chess playing software is called Blitizen 2.5. You can download this software to any computer in the world and sign-on with your name and password and play people from all over the world. It is very conveinient to have this software on a thumb drive so that you can play it on your friends computer or at work. This software can be downloaded and used for 7 days free. It is a perfect program for testing Mojopac. Most of the software resides on a server so that it takes up very little space on a thumbdrive.

I've just installed the open source Jahshaka video editing software and have not had any problems with it yet. I stress yet, because, it did not work immediately after the install. I had to "re-boot" MP and is working fine since. Also, I have not loaded any seriously intensive movies.
Also, I have installed the open source jahplayer, but have not had any success getting it to work as of yet. Anyone out there has any luck with this, please let me know.

Now that I have MP running on my new 80GB notebook HDD, I'm happy to report that:

* Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006

is up and running nicely.
So far have installed it and played a few holes and it's working nicely.
No lag or any difference noticed from playing on the host system.

I am NOT installing iTunes 7 on any of my PC's including MP due to it's complete annihilation of my whole library the first time I did.

So I am currenly running (very succesfully) with 6.0.5.20 and have no plans to upgrade.

It's running nicely under my MP install. By using DATA COPY to mirror the MyDocuments folder from my desk PC, I know have a fully working copy of iTunes running in my MP, with all my library.
(I should point out that I have no DRM'd content in my library or on my iPod, mostly podcasts and my own ripped music)

What I liked was that when running MP, I plugged in the iPod and MP started up iTunes and synced it all perfectly. Also I liked that the HOST did NOT start up it's own iTunes when I did this.

Yet to see what happens when I try running my MP iTunes on a host pc that's not my host PC. ie: a PC that does not "know" my iPod already and may not have iPod software installed.

But so far it's going smoothly.

Generally speaking, mojopac is working fine, except 2 things for me ( MS office 2003 and NOD 2003). MS outlook 2003 bug is already known so, Please check NOD32 because NOD32 is a very good antivirus application for USB device, in my opinion, much better than Calmwin.

After installing ACDsee Pro, it couldn't find needed DDL's even though they were in C:\Program Files\Common Files\ACD Systems.

The problem was solved by simply copying them to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
(didn't try moving them).

I have Velocitek Control Center running on MojoPac.

I am real excited about this because this application reads data from a USB device (ref http://www.velocitekspeed.com/products.php) and exports it for various other applications. I was not sure whether MojoPac could work with other USB devices when itself is installed on a USB key and I was happily suprised.

Also managed to install Sun Java and run GPS Action Replay which is a Java based application. I am getting happier by the minute!!! Well done to MojoPac...

I have been successfully playing the game World In Conflict on my Mojo with great success. I have ran my Mojo on three different systems and the game worked fine with all of them as long as you adjusted the graphics on the game to match the capabilities of the host.

I just tried it. The new version, v2.1, tries to contact the Microsoft Update Service running in MojoPac. But, since the service isn't installed, it fails to install the Zune software. :(

XAMPP will provide localhost http server, local MySQL databases and PhP parser. As stated somewhere, it will all function as long as the host is not running XAMPP simultanious. In fact if the host does it seems that apache serves from MojoPac but MySQL on MojoPac will be overridden by Host MySQL server, as in my case I see more databases than installed on MojoPac.

Plus all the usual stuff, FF, IE7, Acrobat etc.

Plugged in at various locations, various machines.
Saves me carrying around hefty LapTop 7kg.
This fits in my jacket inside pocket!
For fun also tried on Nokia E61 with 2GB MicroSD, using the Nokia Connection Cable, works a blast only disadvantage is that Nokia switches the phone off when used as connected device.

Hosts:
P4HT 2.8Ghz, 2GB, 250Gb, XPMCE
PH4T 3.2Ghz, 2 GB 160GB XP
Celeron 3+ 1GB XP

Amazed by:
Indifference of speed, crispy response, ease of use.
!! Free space on disk as OS is not carried around.
Used to use VmWare VirtualBox, and carry project files.
Synchronizing all the machines was a hassle, performance was lower.
Only avantage thre was the access to the host system through networking, shared storage and/or shared clipboard.
The MP1.8 does no longer support the substituted disk as in 1.06.
But overall, using file transfer from Host to USB Disk, works just as well.

This is a keeper, when the Vista version pops up, will convert to next higher version, using Free now.

Thanks for posting that tip. I just copied all the .dll files it said it couldn't find into the System32 folder. This is one of the specific programs I needed portable.

Took me about 8 different attempts, but eventually i was able to get the entire Adobe Production Suite (C3 encore, premier, photoshop, elements, illustrator, and a bunch of other questionably useful apps). The trick for me was trying it on a bunch of different computers. Also, there is an well documented problem with C3 installs with pre-installed versions of adobe flash 9.0 (search adobe kb, they have a specific tool to completely remove flash). Ironically, the one host machine (out of 4) that the install worked on had flash 9 installed. I also started with a brand new mojo install with each attempt.

I've just added ProShow Producer along with a few gig of background music, again with no problems and all the programs running flawlessly.

I notice that some people are running AutoCAD 2006 and others. I tried running ADT 3.3 and ended up with missing dll files. Does AutoCAD work fine but ADT and/or AutoCAD Architecture not work? Is it due to the extra "baggage" associated with the architecture package?

Hi,

I love mojopac (so far). It's been great. Abolutely fantastic. I'm running it on a WD 160 Gig pocket HDD (usb).

I'm running the following with no problems:

MS Office 2007 Enterprise (Installing it took three tries though) ( I use outlook that syncs my mail with a Gmail account where I have three email addresses pointing mail to that one account. I get the mail on the road, it gets left on the server and then when I get home the emails download onto my home PC. This has worked flawlessly. I have been running Karen`s Replicator (www.karenware.com), a very reliable synchronizing free software, a couple of times using test files. It`s working fine!
For the time being, I am synchronizing from the mojopac USB drive to my external main storage device and I will now test the sync process the other way
round as well.
I am not sure, if mojopac`s copy function does the same job with as little effort.

Revit Architecture 2009 does install but does not run. The Revit.exe does start but stops running and disappears in Task Manager with no errors or messages.

Adobe Photoshop CS3 will NOT install.

I don't have anything to add to this list yet. I'm using a lot of stuff already posted here. I thought it worth mentioning that when I tried to run Aptana, it caused my host machine to reboot!

I'm going to install Eclipse instead.

EDIT: Ok the Aptana thing was something I did, but still kinda scary that it caused the host machine to reboot (I didn't install a JRE).

The following works for me:
Eclipse Ganymede works for me and Apatana works well as a plugin.
