After one of the 2 possible computers i used to play Final Fantasy XI on got infected with a keylogger, i decided to reformat my main laptop and reformat my Western Digital passport External Hard drive.
Prior to this event, i used to play just fine using Mojopac, however, ever since i re-installed mojopac again, i just can't get the PlayOnline viewer to run anymore...
I install the software for POL and then click to run the viewer but it does not run. Checking the task manager, i see that the application pol is running, taking up about 4 megs of memory, but not taking any computer resources.
I'm using the exact same computer that i used to run mojopac on previously, nothing has changed, except the host pc has Sygate Firewall and Avast! Antivirus installed. I disabeled them both but POL does not load at all.
Infact, i actually did try to install Sygate Firewall on my virtual PC as well and that would not run either...(i uninstalled that as well).
:confused: Any ideas?
EDIT: ended up finding a solution via the Knowledge base. Turns out i was missing directX. Odd though my host PC has direct X already but mojopac requires directX on the virtual PC as well? Oh well problem solved
