I have MojoPac installed on my WD passport and it works so far except that if I try to run WD Sync from within a MojoPac session, WD Sync does not recognize that it is running on the Passport so therefore it asks me to register. I asked Western Digital about this and they passed the buck to MojoPac but honestly, I think they are right. Mojopac should recognize the device as it is from the operating system so WD Sync can behave as it would natively.:(

We do not have tested data on the WD Sync software and I am not sure if you are chaning the location for the files inside Mojopac. MojoPac is designed to mimic a real PC. As a result, the file structure in MojoPac also mimics that of a standard PC. For more information to synchronize MojoPac, could you please view the Knowledge base article "KB-1160: How do I synchronize MojoPac with a PC?"

I think you may not be clear on the problem I am encountering. Once MojoPac has started, I am not interested at all in syncing data from my passport. I only want to access files on the passport. Unfortunately with the way WD Sync works, you need to start WD Sync to access the files. It is when I attempt to start WD Sync that it asks for a registration key. This is because WD Sync thinks that it is running from another device and not from the passport. So something about MojoPac is changing the passport's "identity", so to speak.

Could you provide us the below requested information, so that we can further investigate the issue and provide you more accurate solution:

* Screenshot of the error message reported.
* Which type of files you are trying to access?
* Can't you access the files with out WD Sync?
* Did you tried connecting the drive to another PC and checked the functionality?
* Does the WD Sync works fine on the system where you installed Mojopac?

I'll try to answer your questions:

WD Sync encrypts the files as well as synchronizes them to your computer. So no, I cannot access the files without WD Sync as they are encrypted. I can't even start up the software to access the files so the file type I am trying to access is irrelevant at this point. The problem is not actually an error but that WD Sync thinks the software is running from a computer and not from the external hard drive on which it is actually installed. It is under this situation that WD Sync asks for a license key. Yes, WD Sync runs fine on the external drive if I run it outside the context of MojoPac. And yes, I have the same problem when I attempt to use WD Sync under MojoPac when connected to any PC.

i am using a WD external hard drive, if i were you i would delete all of the files that it had originaly installed, (back them up on your comp just in case you want them back) and use the sync that mojopac has built into it, works perfect for me :)
