 I have a brand new Hitachi Travel Star 100GB 7200rpm Notebook drive with an Azio external enclosure (USB2.0 & eSATA). Of course MojoPac will not recognize the drive if I have it connected via eSATA (which is what I really want), but connected via USB2.0 MojoPac finds it instantly. By the way, I am using a power adapter for the external HDD, so it is fully powered. I have the option of 2-USB or external adapter, even though it may work only using one USB. Before installation I formated the HDD (NTFS) and closed ALL programs running in the background including AVG anti-virus and ZoneAlarm Firewall. The installation starts and MojoPac seems to be very happy! It reports (on the speed bar) that I am up to about 80%---in the Green. It starts installing and reaches 85%---and stops---every time. Ctrl/Alt/Delete shows me that the program has "stopped responding" and I have let it sit for 45 minutes. When I try to re-install (which MojoPac suggests), MojoPac gives me this message: "There is an incomplete or corrupted MojoPac installation in this location. For help, please go to the knowledge base on the MojoPac support Site and search for article KB-1188: [Clean up an incomplete or corrupted MojoPac]." I can not find this KB-1188 article. I find KB-1187, but not KB-1188. OK, I totally reformated my Hitachi HDD and wiped everything off it. I again downloaded MojoPac directly to the Hitachi HDD, closed all running applications and tried the install again. Same thing--it stalls at 85% and will go no further. I tried installing in "Safe" mode (with network support) and no go. Lastly, I tried installing to my OCZ 8GB ATV Thumb Drive-----no problem. MojoPac installed immediately and I got to play with it. I definately want MojoPac on my Hitachi HDD due to 7200rpm speed. The OCZ Thumb Drive was slow as Molassis--and I mean SLOW. I would really like to be able to access MojoPac via eSATA once it's installed, but I don't think that is possible. Anyway, does anyone have an idea of what is going wrong? I have tested the Hitachi HDD and it is working properly. The last time I even wrote (Zero's) to the HDD and then did the NTFS Format. It started completely clean but every time the installation fails at 85%. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I wanted to give the free version a try before upgrading to the full version. Thank you for any advice or help you can offer!!!

I tried the 1.0.6.0 version, and then the update--no go. This time it stalled at 95% and would not continue. Frustration PLUS! I formatted my Hitachi drive once again and did a complete system backup on it---so I know it's not the drive or my USB being the problem. I'm stubborn as hell, so I formatted the Hitachi drive again, wiping out my OS backup (I have other's)! As I stated in my first post, I was successful in installing MojoPac on my OCZ ATV 8GB Thumb Drive, although it was slow as molassis. I decided to simply "Copy" and "Paste". I copied the files from the OCZ Thumb Drive---and Pasted them to my (now clean) Hitachi drive. I re-booted just to make sure and clicked on MojoPac to start it. The program said I had to activate my license again--and I did, very successfully. MojoPac is working on my Hitachi and I am writing this post in MojoPac now. My Hitachi Travel star 100GB 7200rpm drive is incredibly faster than my OCZ Thumb Drive, so much so that I think that gaming would actually be very possible with MojoPac. I'll give it a try later. I am not clear on this activation matter. I am using the free version for right now. I will definately upgrade in a few days after I experiment a while. I would like to test MojoPac on several devices. Does having to activate MojoPac on each device mean I can't do this? I'll figure out something.

So, there is some sort of glitch in the updated version of MojoPac, which may, or may not affect you. I am a system's builder and have used my current system to try out many different things. It is my guess that something on MY system is the culprit--not MojoPac. If you run into the same problem as I did, try installing MojoPac on a simple thumb drive, ignoring the warning as to how slow it may be. When finished, select all the files on the thumb drive, "Copy" them and then "Paste" them to whatever USB drive you want to use. I'm assuming you will need to re-activate. Do that and you should be ready to go. Just FYI, My USB Thumb Drive cost $41.99--and it's only 8GB. A Hitachi Travel Star 7200rpm HDD is one of the fastest you can get for a 2.5" drive---and the price is less than three of my Thumb Drives! Then all you need is a very small USB external enclosure for a 2.5" HDD. They range in price from about $12.00 up to around $65.00. I paid about $29.99 for my Asio "Moble Disk" enclosure which is both USB2.0 AND eSATA. The performance difference is not only noticable--it's astounding, with the Hitachi absolutely killing my Thumb Drive. Plus---the Azio came with a nice soft pouch and will fit in my back pocket. Now it's time for me to play with MojoPac!
