Trackmania Nations

I'm trying to install and run the game Trackmania Nations (free, available at http://www.trackmanianations.com/indexUk.php) and I can install just fine. When I go to run the game, it says it needs to run a video benchmark. I click OK and the system (both mojopac and host) slows to a halt. I'm unable even to open taskmgr.
