Here is another strange one for ya.
A few weeks back iTunes stopped seeing my iPod. I poked around the apple forums and tried the iTunes reinstall and even reinstalled mojopac. Still it's not working. I decided to install iTunes on the host and magically I could see my iPod in iTunes.
After some further poking around inside mojopac, I found that I could create files on my iPod but could not delete anything off of it but I have full control through the host PC. I've tried it on several PC's (4 so far, 2 corporate and 2 private computers).
I'm running mojo on an 80gig external HD and was able to access my iPod through iTunes on mojo without a problem for a long time before this happend.
Any ideas?

I'm having this same problem and would love some answers! I'm having the same problem with iTunes run from my MojoPac not recognizing when I plug my iPod in, but it automatically brings iTunes up on my host computer.
I'm running mojo on a 500gig external Seagate HD and I'm pretty sure that I had seen my iPod through iTunes for the first few weeks that I've been using MojoPac. I love to program and just suggested it to a friend and would had for this problem to dampen my fun! I have MojoPac Freedom.

This is most likely because you have an application on your PC that has "taken over" your iPod and is not allowing your iPod to be accessed. Here are some examples:
If you have iTunes installed on that PC, and iTunes is set up to "Automatically update my songs and playlists," it automatically disables access to the iPod. Please check to see if this is the case, and change the setting to "Manually manage my songs and playlists" by clicking on the iPod icon on the bottom right of iTunes to set the settings accordingly.
If you have other applications, especially multimedia applications installed on that PC (such as Photoshop Album or other photo editing software), they may be set to "take over" any USB device that is connected to them to look for relevant content. In this case, you need to go to that specific application and either disable it (for example by right clicking on the Photoshop Album icon on the system tray) or change the setting to disable the applications' automatic take over of the USB device.

I've tried it with every possible program not running in the background. The closest i've gotten is it recognizing my iPod as one of the 1st generation ones (read: really old iPod) and that it is corrupt (which it isn't cause still runs fine on host's iTunes). I have always set my iPod to manually manage my music and files.
When i tried to test it on the other computer in my home, the host proceeded to restart when i plugged in my iPod, but it's old.
If I insert my iPod before opening iTunes, then i try to open iTunes in my mojopac, the iTunes program stays in limbo unless i unplug my iPod, upon which iTunes promptly opens to mock me. If i have iTunes open before plugging in my iPod, iTunes goes on normally and simply ignores the fact that the peripheral it was created for is actually plugged in.

Could you please provide us the below requested information, so that we can further investigate the issue and provide you more accurate solution:
* The iTunes version you are using.
* List of processes running. You can get the list by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and processes tab within Mojopac.
* Were you able to sync Mojopac and iPod before? If yes, did you install any applications or done upgradations or any changes?
Looking forward for your reply........

I've got iTunes version 7.6
I could sync my ipod before the the latest upgrade of mojo. I've even done a reinstall of mojo and have only put iTunes on it so far.

To further investigate the issue, please get back to us with the below information :
* Is the host PC where you connected the Mojopac is also installed with Itunes?
* Did you tried connecting Mojopac to the PC where iTunes is not installed on the host and checked the functionality.

Yes & no, I've tired it on several pc's now, some with iTunes & some without.
It's the same result either way.
I can view the contents of my iPod through explorer and have created a txt file on it, it's when I try to remove it that it get an error:
---------------------------
Error Deleting File or Folder
---------------------------
Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
No matter what host I'm connected to I get the same result but from the host I can delete the file.
I've tried this on several USB devices but only my iPod give me a problem through mojopac.

I had a problem in which my iPod would take 1-2 minutes to show up in iTunes. Afterwhich, anything i did with the iPod would cause iTunes to pause for 1-2 minutes.
I have found using Floola to be an acceptable solution. It gives you direct access to your iPod and you can add songs by dragging and dropping. One caveat; it sometimes scrambles the cd cover artwork. Version 2.5 has a workaround, but it requires you to repeatedly save the covers.

I've found a full read write delete work around for all drives...
By default in windows XP fixed drives are shared (Assuming you have file sharing enabled) for example your C drive is C$. The $ at the end of the share name will make the share hidden.
Here is the steps I take to make it work in MojoPac...
1. Launch MojoPac and login
2. On the Host open My Computer
3. Right click on the drive you want to share and click properties
4. under the Sharing Tab check the Share this Folder radio Button and choose a share name (I suggest you put a $ at the end to keep it hidden)
5. Optional: Click the Permissions button. I delete the everyone share and put my host username in and give it full access. I don't want anyone on my network to see my drives.
6. Click OK to exit out of the Sharing Properties box.
7. Switch over to Mojo and open My Network Places
8. Click Add a new network place and in text box put \\<your computers name>\<the drives share name> (example: \\TheGuysPC\CDrive$) and click OK
You will now have full access to the drive including delete
I have found that sometimes it takes a minute or two for Mojo to see the share name before I can add it in my network places
I've also run into times where I had to type the share name (example: \\TheGuysPC\CDrive$) in an explorer window and drag the icon from the explorer text box the my network places after it connects.
Unfortunately this does not fix the problem with an iPod. iTunes opens the iPod as the USB drive and does not have delete ability that way. There is nothing like a 60gig iPod reading 2.5Gigs available in iTunes.

Okay i have a solution i found by fluke.
What you need to do is plug the ipod into the computer first, then plug whatever device is running mojo in second.
This way, the ipod will show up in itunes on mojopac, but itunes will be really laggy to start with; it will get better.

aw Nutshak I was so excited to try your fix, but alas, no luck. My iphone 3g still does not show up in either itunes running in mojo or in the mojo MyCompuer.
Im also running the most current version of itunes, mojopac, and firmware on the iphone. all are "fresh" installs
This is really annoying as using portable itunes was the only reason why i got the new 250GB, 5,400rpm drive, and mojopac. If i dont find a fix soon, the drive is going back to the store and mojopac is going to the remove side of add remove programs.
