The Knowledge Base article KB_1188 does not exist. However to resolve the issue could you check the drive for any errors within host PC:

*. Restart your Host PC

*. On the command prompt, run "chkdsk <USB drive letter>: /F /X"

This should fix if the drive is corrupted.

If the issue persists then continue performing the below steps:

* Download the update Mojopac installer from the below webpage:

http://www.mojopac.com/portal/content/download.jsp

* Run the installer.

Reinstalling Mojopac by following the above steps will not corrupt or impact the applications already installed.

Please get back with the results and we would be glad to assist you further...

Ok this worked, but in OTHER PC. Now mojo work. But now I have problems with TrueCrypt - can't mount volumes. Or better, I can mount volumes, and see these volumes in TrueCrypt window, but when I try use any from this disc, I see information about not existing drive.

I did everything that was said here and nothing. Still the same error.

Hard disc does not have any errors, I've scanned it with chkdsk as was told, I've downloaded new installation of mojo, tried to set it up on my and other PC's and the same error occurres.

What else coud I do without formating my drive and losing every preinstalled software?

Could you please disable the unwanted application on the host PC and and try to activate MojoPac. Please follow the below steps to disable unwated Application by using MSCONFIG utility :

1) Click Start, and then click Run. The Run dialog box opens.
2) In theOpen field, type msconfig, and then click OK.
3) When the System Configuration Utility dialog box opens, click the Startup tab.

Remove the checkmark in the box next to all known unnecessary programs by clicking the box next to the program. Do not remove the check marks of Windows system files or Ringthree directory files or unknown application files.

4) When Mojopac prompts to restart, Click yes.

NOTE: After restarting the Mojopac, a message will be displayed, select the check mark beside "Don't show this message or launch the System configuration Utility when windows start" and click Ok.

Still nothing.

I did as follow
- in msconfig I left only NvCpl, nwiz, soundman, alcwzdr, alcmtr, khalmnpr and ctfmon,
- I've restarted PC,
- I've run MojoPac and I got the same message as last time "MojoPac did not complete successfully. ...."
- than I've try to install Mojo once again but still with kb_1188 error
- in addition I run chkdsk on MojoPac HDD and there was no errors.

What now?
:-(

Best regards for MojoPac Creators!!!

I had a corrupt installation with the message KB_1188: Clean up an incomplete or corrupted MojoPac. Reinstallation of the current (1.10) or previous installer version (1.6) failed at about 70%.

None of the suggested fixes worked. However, based on previous experience with ActiveSync problems and various efforts to sort out the problem, here is an easy solution (perhaps for the brave!).

The problem appears to be left over entries in the Registry. Clean the Registry and delete all references to Mojopac prior to the installation.

I use a utility called Regseeker. It allows one to search for any entry, in this case 'Mojopac'. Only HKEY_CURRENT_USER appears relevant.

The entries are returned. Select all and R click to delete. They will be backed up prior to deletion.

That is it.

You will need to remove the failed installation file beside the Mojo.exe start file in the root directory of the drive, depending on the version of the installation file.

Note It is important to reboot the system before you run the installation file, to ensure that the Registry is clean.

I also turned off McAfee. I did not touch the Windows firewall. Neither of these were off at time of the initial installation. (These are often blamed for these types of issues on fora - i suspect that neither of these is an issue).

This fix worked perfectly for me.

Note, i suspect that the problem arose in the first place, because I installed Mojopac to the drive from a fast work computer. However, I had run Mojopac first on a home computer. When I returned to the work computer, Mojopac fell over with the above installation problems.

Subsequently, I used also Regseeker to remove all references to Mojopac from the work laptop and rebooted it prior to the first connection. This time there were no problems and on a fast CoreDuo with 2GB, it really flies. Photoediting is very fast despite the virtual environment.

Hope this is of help to some and may save some time.
