How do I do a complete uninstall? I've had enough of this RS1 problem, re-install, chkdsk with no problem, reboot host computer, etc.
Please tell me how to COMPLETELY uninstall mojopac from my device - everything. I want to put the device back to the state it was in before I installed mojopac.

MojoPac is like an Operating System for your USB device, and you can't uninstall an OS like the way you uninstall applications. You can only remove the OS by deleting the files and folders associated with MojoPac manually.
To remove MojoPac, exit out of MojoPac first and delete following folders and files on your USB device:
Program Files
Autorun.inf
Start.exe
Temp
Windows
Documents and Settings*
*: Do NOT delete the "Documents and Settings" if you wish to keep the data (files and documents) you stored on the USB device's My Documents folder, Desktop, or etc.

Mojopac is really cool, i enjoy using it, but its got all these hitches i donno like at all. Nod32 sees mojo has a virus and u know it the piss of s**t antivir keeps disturbing you even when mojo is not running. Besides some maintenance requests are frustrating, like it asking you to chkdsk each time u plug ur device... thats crap, besides not allowing u to remove it the way u would like (delete instead of uninstall) makes me  . I wouldn't say with all these i'll stop using mojopac coz the fact is i prefer it to ceedo. So i wish the Mojopac group make amendments ... a perfect mojopac would b really  with no buts

I stumbled on this article when I experienced my second ever error with MojoPac (RS1 bug). While I was looking for solutions and discussions about the reasons for this error, I seen this post. Mojo is by far the best option out there. With open source technology moves fast and customization is easy. Best of all it is FREE for personal use.
Don't get frustrated, or toss Mojo to the side because of 1 error that is a result of something you tried to do. Otherwise you shouldn't be messing with this and just pay and head on over to buy a Mac.
Mojo Pac has not reached its full potential yet and when ever I have came across an error it was because of a software I tried to install that was not compatible with the Mojo interface. Instead of whining, I report the error for the community to review and work to fix, while also describing how the error occurred.
It is not meant to replace your workstation, but to make it more convenient for you to take your files, programs and settings with you. More applications and programs are adapting to become portable, so in time more of the glitches will be worked out.
When ever I was faced with an error, I do not uninstall or delete anything. I download the latest version and run the install again which will take care of keeping my software and settings. After I do this, everything runs smoothly. I have only needed to do this twice, and both problems were do to my overeagerness to fill up my 500GB hard drive with as many software, Email, and settings as possible.
Super big ups to the Mojo team and offering the best Virtual PC solution out in cyberspace!

You forgot to mention the hidden folder called "System Volume Information". It holds configuration data (*.ini files, etc) that show modification dates since my MojoPac installation.
I am returning my portable hard drive due to problems and I don't want to leave ANYTHING personal on the drive.

I am returning my portable hard drive due to problems and I don't want to leave ANYTHING personal on the drive.
You probably already know this but...
delete on a drive does not delete!
Delete only makes the space [on the hard/USB/zip/etc drive] available to be overwritten [later] by the operating system. If the OS never overwrites those HD sectors then your data remains available to almost anyone to be retrieved or viewed using a simple and free disk editor program.
I use a program called @Active Kill Disk and then use their Wipe-Disk feature to overwrite all unused and slack space on my drives. I also choose the random write rather than zeros.
In your case I would suggest using the KillDisk feature which wipes the entire drive.
Hope this helps someone.

I am having the same problem with the RS1 bug.
What causes the RS1 error to happen?
Is it always a currupted file, or can having too little space on a flash drive do it also?
I am new to MojoPac and have been unable to get it to work properly, because of that error. I have tried re-installing, but I always get the same error. it appears to install OK, then I can never log back in, because it gives me an RS1 error soon after I type in my username and password and push login. :(
If it helps, it always happens about 15 seconds after I login while the screen shows "Loading User Profile."
It says to come to the MojoPac site for Support, so here I am.
What should I do?

You may get a RS1 error while you are starting MojoPac. RS1 indicates that MojoPac file system is not consistent (due to unsafe shutdown or surprise removal) and it needs to be repaired. To address this issue, please follow the steps below:
Restart your Host PC
On the command prompt, run "chkdsk <USB drive letter>: /F /X"
You should be able to start MojoPac now.

OK, I tried running a check disk (twice) and it said there was nothing wrong. However, MojoPac is still giving me the same error!
Is there anything else I can try?

Could you please re-install Mojopac by performing the below steps and check the functionality :
* Download the update Mojopac installer on the USB drive from the below webpage:
http://www.mojopac.com/portal/content/download.jsp
* Run the installer.
Reinstalling Mojopac by following the above steps will not corrupt or impact the applications already installed.

HI i have been using it since 6 months Just like a Second PC Now i no longer carry my laptop (ONLY MY MOJO 40GB Laptop Harddisk) Only problem I got regd RC1 Error or check disk IS when systems USB is not working properly i suggest if u use a particular jack which is working fine has good connectivity should be giving no problems and dont pull out the device without stopping properly I use my Mojo to test softwares Before installing it on the Mother PC since too many installation (and uninstallation ) slow down and ruin regisrty structure causing in a lot of problems.
(some times due to Prolonged Usage some usb ports connection Get damaged Of RUFF use)
Check for ports which are dusty and clean them regularly,on some assembled PC cabinets the usb ports do not hold the connections properly or do not feed required power

Hi Newbie here but longtime tech fixer.
Just found this software and experimenting for a possible business use.
But I have used Portable Apps in a similar fashion from a caged USB Hard Drive and found that the Hard drive will go into hibernate. This is managed by the PC and internal hardware and when it does it drops connect with the PC and suddenly I've got read/write errors or no drive available. This would equate to a bad exit in Mojopac and possibly cause problems. Hence I've gone to big USB drives instead for testing purposes. Might explain your problems.
